On November 26, Hudson Institute hosted Sir Kim Darroch, British Ambassador to the United States, for a discussion about the current state of U.S.-U.K. relations. The conversation was moderated by Walter Russell Mead, the Ravenel B. Curry III Distinguished Fellow in Strategy and Statesmanship at Hudson Institute.

The U.S.-U.K. relationship faces new challenges and opportunities for cooperation. The continuing negotiations over Brexit have generated uncertainty over Great Britain’s future relationship with the European Union. Despite that uncertainty, the United Kingdom and United States remain close allies across a wide range of issues, from driving back ISIS to ensuring freedom of navigation in the South China Sea. Hudson Institute is pleased to host Sir Darroch to discuss the future of the special relationship.
