On October 26, Hudson Institute hosted a panel to assess U.S. policy in Syria. Panelists considered how the Trump Administration’s new Syria strategy diverges from previous administrations' and analyze how the new strategy intends to respond to outside influencers, particularly Russia, Iran, and the Islamic State, who continue to obstruct U.S. efforts within Syria.

Panelists included the Representative for the Syrian Opposition Coalition to the United Nations, Mariam Jalabi; Hudson Institute Senior Fellows Michael Doran and Jonas Parello-Plesner; and Georgetown doctoral candidate and former senior policy analyst at the US commission on international religious freedom, Jomana Qaddour.
