Many of the Chinese government’s biotechnology programs may sound like science fiction. But there is strong evidence that China is forcibly collecting citizens’ DNA for surveillance and research, studying the genetic enhancement of humans for military purposes, and working to create genetically selective bioweapons. Along with posing moral and ethical issues, this research constitutes a grave national security threat to the United States.

Dr. Jason Kelly, CEO of Ginkgo Bioworks, is one of the leading experts on these programs. He will join Hudson’s Mike Gallagher, former chair the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, to discuss why the US needs to win the biotechnology race against the CCP.
