Earlier this year, the Trump administration announced reforms to the $42.45 billion broadband expansion program carried out by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). These reforms aim to prevent waste, speed up deployment, and unleash the full force of the competitive marketplace. At the same time, the president’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act mandated the NTIA to create the largest spectrum pipeline in American history, laying the groundwork for the United States’ wireless future. These moves are part of the administration’s broader strategy to promote innovation and spur investment to ensure that all Americans are connected and secure US leadership in fifth- and sixth-generation wireless networks, artificial intelligence, and other vital technologies.

To discuss how the administration is strengthening US leadership in communications and technology, Senior Fellow Harold Furchtgott-Roth will host Arielle Roth, assistant secretary of commerce for communications and information and administrator of the NTIA.
