Guam is a strategic hub for U.S. power projection in the Western Pacific. China poses a significant missile threat to this U.S. territory and can hit targets on Guam with ballistic missiles from the land, and ballistic and cruise missiles from air and maritime platforms. Due to its strategic importance and the risks it faces from China and North Korea, the Indo-Pacific Command and the Missile Defense Agency have made defending Guam a top priority. On Friday, April 14th, Hudson Institute will premiere a two-part panel examining this crucial issue. The first panel will discuss the risk of Chinese aggression against Taiwan and the role that Guam should play in American deterrence, and the second panel will explore solutions for defending and utilizing Guam. Please join Hudson Institute for these important discussions.
