Sheffield Hallam University has done important work documenting human rights abuses and forced labor in the Uyghur region of China. Their research has exposed how Uyghur forced labor taints the entire solar technology supply chain and uncovered the international intermediary factories that bring Xinjiang cotton into the global market.
