Join Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Rebeccah Heinrichs for a conversation with Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment Ellen Lord who is responsible for all matters pertaining to acquisition; developmental testing; contract administration; logistics and materiel readiness; installations and environment; operational energy; chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons; the acquisition workforce; and the defense industrial base.

To effectively compete with China, the Department of Defense set out to streamline the acquisition and sustainment process of U.S. military systems and programs to meet the challenges of a diverse threat landscape. Under Secretary Lord will discuss the successes of A&S over the last several years, as well as challenges and opportunities ahead.
