After the People's Republic of China's recent deadly military escalation in India’s Galwan Valley, the Government of India has taken bold actions to reassert its sovereignty over India’s data and tech sector by banning Chinese apps from Indian cyberspace.

India has joined the United States and other leading democracies in pushing back against the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) bid to control the technologies of the future. At their core, the intensifying “Geo-Tech Wars” are about the future of governance, dominance of core industries, and international order.

What are the threats and challenges posed by the CCP’s many-faceted bid to establish an authoritarian sphere of technological influence? In the Indo-Pacific context, what actions can be taken to enhance cooperation and commerce among the Quad countries—India, Australia, Japan, and the United States—to ensure that democracies maintain leadership over the technologies of the future?

Join Hudson Institute and our panel of experts who will answer these and other questions about how the United States, India, and other democratic countries can work together to build a free, open, and technological future.
