Hudson Institute will host U.S. Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas to discuss his new book, Sacred Duty: A Soldier’s Tour at Arlington Cemetery.

Sacred Duty takes an in-depth look behind the scenes of Arlington National Cemetery and the U.S. Army’s 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), the unit responsible for conducting memorial affairs to honor fallen soldiers at Arlington and other events and ceremonies on behalf of the U.S. Army.

Sen. Cotton served five years of active duty in the U.S. Army, including combat tours in Iraq with the 101st Airborne and Afghanistan with a Provincial Reconstruction Team. Between his two overseas deployments, Sen. Cotton served as a platoon leader with The Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery.
